The 2017 Kia Soul is a more powerful fuel saver

Posted by

The 2017 Kia Soul Exclaim has just been unveiled. What’s special with this new release? For starters, this is the most powerful ride in the Kia Soul series. Added to that, this is the best in fuel efficiency – boasting of a combined city and highway rating of 28 mpg. That is approximately 10.1 litres per 100 km. Amazing!!

This car carries a 201-horsepower turbocharged 1.6-liter engine. The only downside is the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission the engine operates, which squeezes out all the performance while saving fuel. Enough of specs. Check out photos of the 2017 Kia Soul Exclaim below.

Having a nice interior, and a complete 315-watt stereo with subwoofer, this ride is really enticing. Kia is yet to unveil pricing for this car.

  1. Looks smashing.

That is approximately 10.1 litres per 100 km. Amazing!!

My computation says 28 mpg translates to 11.9 km/ltr (US gallon).

Even at 11.9, for a 1.6 litre engine, I wouldn’t call that fuel consumption exactly amazing. Even class leading cars of the nineties of that engine size routinely do that much, and better !

I expect this Soul to do far better in the fuel miserliness area, seeing that the Hyundai’s from the same stable are shaking up the fuel frugality arena. .
