Honda has reworked its Odyssey minivan series – this time with more tech. The 2018 Honda Odyssey comes with a list of smart features which will interest new buyers and parents. CabinWatch is a feature that uses a camera to monitor activity in the back. The front passengers see the video feed on an eight-inch touchscreen mounted in the dashboard. The CabinTalk feature lets the driver talk to passengers at the back without shouting. It beams their voice through the speakers and headphones.

A 10.2-inch screen is mounted in the ceiling as a rear entertainment system, and it can stream via any connected WiFi. There’s a CabinControl smartphone app that allows passengers at the back manage their entertainment, heating and cooling without having to bother the adults in the front. Magic Slide is yet another cool feature here – the second row seats can slide to give easy access to the back or to give more space to people at the back.
The 2018 Honda Odyssey comes with a 3.5-liter gasoline V6 engine, paired with either a 9-speed automatic transmission or the Honda-designed 10-speed unit. This generates 280-horsepower, and has cylinder deactivation to improve fuel efficiency for light-load conditions. As usual, we get the Honda Sensing driver assist package for safety.
