50% of Windows Phones are capable of running Windows 10 Mobile – AdDuplex reports

Windows 10 for mobile devices is finally here, after countless delays. It is quite sad that Microsoft failed on their promise of providing the update for devices running 512 MB of RAM. That would be a story for another day. Meanwhile, AdDuplex has compiled reports on the Windows Mobile ecosystem. Here are some of its details:

  • 15.2% of capable devices are already running Windows 10 Mobile
  • 50.4% of available Windows Phones can be upgraded to Windows 10
  • Windows 10 Mobile now cover 7.7% of all Windows phones – a 2.4% rise.
  • Windows Phone 8.1 is still the highest with 81.1%.

According to AdDuplex, the increase in Windows 10 Mobile adoption is mostly from people getting new hardware. The numbers will definitely increase in subsequent months as OEMs like Alcatel and the rest, will release new gadgets. You can see the full report HERE.
