Kenya joins the growing group of African countries in which Airtel offers 4G LTE mobile broadband. The other countries include Seychelles and Rwanda where 4G was launched in November 2014. A just completed network upgrade has added LTE technology to Airtel Kenya’s network.
The 4G service is available in the country only in some areas of Nairobi for now. The service will continually be expanded to cover more areas of the city, as well as other cities in the country.
