It is a tough period for BlackBerry 10. Just after WhatsApp announced a discontinuation of their BlackBerry apps, another app is dropping off. As of March 31st, the current BlackBerry Facebook application will cease to work on BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry 10, BlackBerry OS versions 7.1 and earlier.
This is because the app is being discontinued and will be replaced with a web app. Those wishing to continue using Facebook are encouraged to move to the web-based app. So, BlackBerry users are not entirely cut off. There’s a web app for them. So, as it is, the app is currently on life support. Don’t forget: on March 31st, the plug will be pulled.
