WhatsApp has launched a web client to allow users of the service carry out messaging from their PC web browser. We have collated some of the questions you may have about using WhatsApp on PC and provided answers to them.
Does WhatsApp Web work with any web browser?
Answer: No; for now, it works on only Chrome. WhatsApp says that other browsers will be supported later.
Can I use WhatsApp Web on any PC?
No; you cannot. For now, only Windows PCs are supported Yes; you can, but it works only on Chrome browser.
Do I have to install any software on my PC?
Answer: No; if you already have Chrome browser installed. If you don’t have Chrome, you will need to download and install it first.
Can I use WhatsApp Web while my phone is switched off?
Answer: No; you cannot. Your phone needs to stay connected to the internet for WhatsApp Web to work.
My tablet has Chrome browser. Will WhatsApp Web work on it?
Answer: We tried it here, and the browser loaded a page to download WhatsApp app. It doesn’t look like it will work.
I use a BB10 smartphone, but I am unable to use WhatsApp Web. What do I do?
Answer: Delete the WhatsApp app on your BlackBerry, re-install it, and then try to setup WhatsApp Web again.
