Ever since the rise of Temple Run, we have come to see other similar style, runner games. Angry Gran Run, and Subway Surfers are among the long list of games with the same concept, while gaining a bit of popularity too. Now think of any of these games infused with a Nigerian style theme – Keke on the Run 2 is close to that.
Like mentioned earlier, this game is similar to the popular Temple Run with a couple of visual differences. When you open the app, you get the option to select a vehicle (Keke Napep), there are four choices to choose from. The first is free, while you need coins to unlock the rest. Same goes for the stages which you choose next. There’s Forest, 4th Mainland, Beach and Bridge.
Essentially, you glide on the road, and dodge obstacles while picking up as many coins as possible. You can then gather enough coins to unlock other tricycles and stages. There’s an option to purchase coins too. Some of the soundtracks here reminiscent of the ones played in Nollywood movies. Nice.
There are in-app ads that pop up after your car crashes – sometimes forcing you to play a video. The graphics and user interface suits the functionality here, though it would be better if we get more detail. A proper renaming of the stages would also do some good. You can download Keke on the Run 2 HERE.
