iPhone got Live Photos in 2015; Lumia had it since 2014

I remember reading an article that says Apple introduced a new feature called Live Photos at the iPhone 6S launch in September 2015. With Live Photos, the camera captures a few moments before the photo is taken to create a video effect. It is lovely to see.

Well, Nokia pioneered it in 2014 and Lumia owners have been enjoying the same feature since then – over a year before it arrived on the iPhone. On Lumia smartphones, it is called Living Images. It was first introduced in Lumia Camera version for Lumia 930.

  1. I saw it recently on an iPhone 6s and thought “I’ve seen this before” – now I know where! A bit like Glance which I had on my Lumia 820 which has recently been introduced on Lollipop. Operating systems tend to borrow from others so nothing should surprise us any more.
