The Aston Martin AM-RB 001 hypercar is the product of a collaboration between British car-maker, Aston Martin, and Formula 1 team, Red Bull Racing. While the Am-RB 001 looks like something that belongs on a race track, it is not a racing car. This supercar will will be driven on regular roads. This is how the official press release describes it:
…a car engineered to be entirely usable and enjoyable as a road car, but with the capability to perform like no road car before it on a race track.
That may be a tough act to pull off, but hey, impossible is nothing. We already know that the AM-RB 001 will be powered by a V12 engine. Little else about the specifications and capabilities of the proposed car is known at this time.

Will You Get One?
Total production volume of the Aston Martin AM-RB 001 will be between 99 and 150 road cars inclusive of all remaining prototypes and 25 track-only versions, with first deliveries commencing in 2018. We do not have details of the cost of the AM-RB 001 yet. Chances are that if you can afford one, you know where to find out and place your order.
PS: The name though. “AM-RB 001”. Sounds like something out of Star Wars. You know, like R2-D2.
