Being able to quickly check how much juice your smartphone battery has left by glancing at the notification bar is so convenient. However, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR owners quickly found that the battery percentage is not displayed by default. If you have been looking for a way to show the battery level of your iPhone Xs or any of its siblings, we have a few solutions for you.

It sucks that Apple would leave out something as basic as this, but hey, the company decided that the notch was essential. And the notch is the root of this evil. For now, you will have to make do with a few workarounds.

3 ways to check battery percentage on iPhone XS

We have three different ways you can check your iPhone XS’ battery percentage or level. Let’s have a look at each of them.

1. Open Control Center

The Control Center is an easy way to see the percentage on iPhone Xs or any of the others.

Swipe down from the top right ear of your iPhone XS, XS Max or XR to open Control Center. The battery percentage is visible in the top right corner of Control Center.

2. Use a Battery Widget

You can also add the battery widget to your lock screen, so you can easily take a quick glance. Here is how to do it:

  • Swipe to the right on your home screen;
  • Scroll down that page, locate the Edit button and press it;
  • On the Add Widgets screen, locate More Widgets, and tap the plus sign next to Batteries to add the widget.

Once done, it is much easier to check your battery level. Just swipe right from your home screen.

3. Ask Siri

Another way to check your battery level on the iPhone XS is to Ask Siri and she will tell you. This is a very cool thing to do, though it can be a bit of a disturbance under some circumstances. You don’t want to be asking Siri while you are in a meeting or while tending a sleeping baby.

So, you now have a few ways to keep tabs on your iPhone’s battery life. It isn’t so bad after all; is it? Which is your favourite way?
