Entry-level 4G Android phones have become more expensive in the last one year. Samsung Galaxy A3 Core is one of them, but it lacks a few features. Chances are that you are looking for Samsung A3 Core alternatives that offer those missing features.

If you have read our Samsung A3 Core review, you already know what it brings to the table. It is an entry-level Samsung phone that offers the basics.

A quick look at the Samsung A3 Core specs sheet spells out things like the 5.3-inch LCD, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, a quad-core MediaTek chipset, 4G network support, and a 3020mAh battery. It lacks a fingerprint scanner, as well as face unlock. This for ₦35,000.

It is a modest offering, but bargain hunters want the best value for their cash at that price point. Are there any competing phones that deliver better value for money? Here are a few Samsung A3 Core alternatives for your consideration.

List of Samsung A3 Core Alternatives

At the top of our list is TECNO POP 4 Pro. this is effortlessly a valid Samsung A3 Core alrernative. As a matter of fact, I suspect that TECNO created this model to go up against the A3 Core. TECNO POP 4 Pro has a bigger 6.52″ Dot Notch Display, a quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, and a much bigger 5000mAh battery.

Of course, like the A3 Core, there is 4G LTE network support present too. But it also offers two features that the Samsung lacks – a fingerprint sensor and face unlock. Which is why the ₦39,000 asking price is reasonable.

Another Samsung A3 Core alternative is the Nokia 1.3. As a matter of fact, the two are almost evenly matched. Nokia 1.3 has a bigger 5.7-inch LCD, quad-core chipset (Qualcomm this time), 4G LTE support, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, and a 3000mAh battery.

Like the A3 Core, it lacks a fingerprint reader. See the similarities between the two? Nokia 1.3 sells for ₦35,800. Pretty much the same as the Samsung.

Knowing that itel Mobile has a good grip on the entry-level market, I was expecting to be able to out an itel smartphone on this list of Samsung A3 Core alternatives. Sadly, there isn’t one right now. If there was an itel A37 Pro 4G in the market, I am sure that it would be the one. Unfortunately, it doesn’t exist yet. All we have is the 3G vanilla A37. Bummer.

Who knows though? It is likely that itel Mobile will bless the market with an itel A37 Pro 4G anytime now. That has been the pattern and unless they have changed strategy, we should see it soon.

So, this is it. If you are shopping for the best cheap 4G Android phone available, Samsung’s A3 Core is one of them. Nokia 1.3 offers pretty much the same set of features. But the best bang for your money in terms of features is from TECNO POP 4 Pro. As far as I can tell, that is the very best alternative available.

If you are resident in Asia, it is important to note that the A3 Core is not available in your region. What you will find is the Samsung A01 Core, which is essentially the same phone, though it has two variants with different memory configurations. The base model of the A01 Core is essentially the same phone as the A03 Core.

You will definitely find the Nokia 1.3 and TECNO Pop 4 Pro in stores in Pakistan, Indonesia, India, and other countries in the region.
