Blackberries, apples, mangoes, tablets and changing times

Posted by MobilityArena

Life was much easier when blackberries, apples, and mangoes were fruits, eclairs was chocolate, and tablets were made of stone.

Imagine the prophet Moses’ shock if he were to be handed the 10 Commandments today on an iPad.

Happy weekend to everyone from the MobilityNigeria team!

  1. Yeah, right discussion for today.lol. I wonder why they all name their OSs such names. Whatever they like to name them, as long as the devices perform exceptionally, I’m in.

  2. Or imagine Jesus using a blackberry to broadcast messages to the five thousand people…smh…

  3. What is in a name? Cars are named after animals. Computer companies after fruits, humans after birds and objects (though very un, African).

Would I name my child Bush, Wood, Fish or Stone? God four_bid, hundred_bid sef!

What IS in a name INDEED!

  4. This naming system is really causing problems everywhere.

Android fans have stopped eating Apples and
Apple fans have stopped having Ice Creams.

    Its so unfair….lol… LWKMD

Don’t be too sure. In the Eastern Nigeria, Bush and Stone is prevalent in peoples’ surname. There are still Death, Moon, Lion, Sheep, Road, Money and even names of deities though most of these names are actually long names that have been shortened and in effect misrepresenting their original meanings.

  6. Yes, Life was evidently much more simpler when all those names were just fruits.

But now, you have to be careful when talking of APples, Blackberries and Gingerbread so that you do not offend an unruly fan. Or even desecrate the name “Anna” or “Belle”, so that you do not dare the Symbian die-Hards.

I believe GOogle brought up this naming system. Those days Nokia named their OS after numbers. But Google started all the ice-cream and edible Palaver!
