Did you know? Microsoft has ended all support for Windows XP users

Posted by

Starting April 8, 2014, Microsoft officially ended support for Windows XP operating system. The company said there would be no more security updates or technical support for any PC running Windows XP and that any system still running it is prone to malicious attacks, hacks or other forms of vulnerabilities.

It is very important that users upgrade to currently supported operating system such as Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 to be able to receive regular security updates protecting their computer from malicious attacks. If your hardware doesn’t support the new operating system consider changing your PC.

  1. That one has been a long time coming – XP only got a stay of execution because so many protested. Microsoft bought them time to upgrade to at least Windows 7.

Funny enough some internet cafes in my neighbourhood are still running on Windows 98!

  2. Funny, I first read this article in a cafe on an XP system.
Don’t mind those guys; they refuse to upgrade; then they’ll come and start spoiling your experience: no downloading of this and that, no watching of videos…
