Driverless cars are all the rave these days. If you thought that only Google and Mercedes and the like were already test-running driverless cars, you thought wrong.
Chances are that you have never heard of Chang’an Automobile Engineering & Research Institute in China. Well, they already have driverless cars on the road running a 2,000-kilometre stretch through a number of cities from Chongqing to Beijing.
The cars are equipped with traffic information identification, adaptive cruise control, and traffic jam assist, and active lane changing systems. Enjoy a few photos:
