Edge-to-edge Display: Xiaomi Mi Mix

An edge-to-edge display is one in which there are no bezels (or very little bezels) on it. The idea is not new. Implementation has been the problem. And now, Chinese mobile brand, Xiaomi is taking the bulls by the horn with the Xiaomi Mi Mix.

Xiaomi says that the Mi Mix has a 91.3% percent screen-to-body ratio. The front of the Mi Mix is almost 100% display. The Apple iPhone 7 has a 67.5% screen-to-body ratio. That’s a huge difference. The staggering result is that though the Mi Mix has a much bigger screen than the iPhone 7 Plus, the two devices are roughly the same size. Have a look at the detailed specs of the Xiaomi Mi Mix below.

It looks spectacular however a Chinese site has shown a real live render of the device and its not as border-less as the promo images. Still freaking beautiful though.

What Chinese site? There live videos on YouTube of the device. Marques Brownlee has even done a physical run down of a live unit.

Go and check your borders on that one, rather than some dodgy Chinese site
