Social media company Facebook has seen some of its apps receive Dark modes, with the Messenger app receiving this in March of 2019 and WhatsApp making their Dark mode official a couple of months ago. Facebook Lite has also seen a Dark mode in recent times, with new reports reaching us suggesting that we may see a Dark mode for Facebook on Android.

This Dark mode will be able to operate in sync with your device’s settings, as it can work on its own or together with your device’s Dark mode setting. This Dark mode setting mostly features several hues of dark gray with light gray for icons and a little black.

A total overhaul of the “Time on Facebook” feature is also in the works, this feature can keep a track of the time spent on this social media channel, potentially helping you manage your time better. News of a coronavirus tracker appearing in the next app update have also surfaced, making this update seem all the more interesting.

With Facebook receiving a number of updates this period from Messenger rooms permitting video calls for up to 50 participants to a feature that lets you conceal old posts, it will be interesting to see what the Dark mode will look like when it gets released to the public.
