Video conference app Google Duo added support for up to 32 participants in a single video call session for its Web platform in June. And now, reports making the rounds state that this participant limit has been added for the Android platform.

Select Android users are currently receiving this feature to add up to 32 participants on a video call. This feature is a server side update and is not expected with the latest version of the app. It is expected that more users would get this update on their Android devices in the coming weeks.

Android users can check out their devices to see if this feature is available to them by selecting Create group on the home screen. If you notice you cannot add more than 11 participants, that means this feature is not available on your device yet.

Google Duo started out with four participants in a group call, before doubling the limit in March to eight and later increasing the limit to 12 in the same month. This new participant limit from Google is a step in the right direction, as more individuals have turned to video conferencing apps to stay in touch this period.
