Google plans to bring a number of changes to the Play Store app, letting users manage their subscriptions better. These changes will help users manage app subscriptions, making these subscriptions easier to sign up for and more transparent to use.

This new method may see Android users buy subscriptions outside the Play Store app. Necessary subscription and pricing details will be made available on the Google Play listing, while a new button close to the “Install” button will allow users buy the app subscription before the app is installed.

Google confirmed that this feature is presently available for testing to a few developers. The feature incorporates a new “Free trial and Install” button that allows users purchase the app’s subscription and its free trial version. Just beneath the “Free trial and Install” button is a small dialog box which provides all the details regarding the app’s subscription. This box tells the user how long the free trial will last, when it will end, and the cost of using the app once the free trial expires.

The dialog box also contains the premium feature set that the subscription brings, letting users make properly informed decisions before opting for an app. This feature, if eventually released to the end-users will go a long way in helping to effectively manage subscriptions.
