Google’s Pixel phones are currently receiving a new update, as the latest November security patch is here with a number of fixes and improvements. The Pixel 3 devices and higher have received this update, with the lower Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL yet to be updated.

These updates address issues for apps, camera, sensor, touch, audio and system UI. A number of these updates cover all the Pixel smartphones, while the rest are more phone specific.

Reports from the Pixel Support page suggest that the fixes include one for removal of playlist in YouTube Music, a bug fix that makes the screen light up after locking the phone under certain conditions, and a fix that shows the hidden navigation widget when playing videos in fullscreen mode. These fixes should be available for all Pixel phones higher than the Google Pixel 2.

The Google Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 get a fix for an issue that previously prevented calls in Android Auto mode. The latest Android security patch also addresses a number of security vulnerabilities detailed in the Android Security Bulletin for the month of November.

Google will roll out these updates in phases, with different regions (and devices) expected to see these updates at different times.
