Huawei Ascend W1

If you are looking for the most affordable Windows Phone 8 smartphone in the market, look no further. The Huawei Ascend W1 now costs less than N20,000. Well, one Naira less, if I am to be precise. Yes; for just N19,999, you get:

  • Dual-core 1.2 GHz Krait processor
  • 512 MB of RAM
  • 5 megapixel camera with LED flash
  • 3G, HSDPA 21 Mbps
  • 4 GB internal storage
  • microSD card slot
  • 480 x 800 pixel, 4.0-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display
  • 124.5 x 63.7 x 10.5 mm in size
  • 130 g in weight

Back in May this year, I had asked how a phone that was meant to cost around N24,000 ended up being sold in the market for over N30,000. Now on offer for N20,000 or less, the Ascend W1 is the most affordable Windows Phone 8 smartphone in the market.

Ask for the Huawei Ascend W1 at your favourite mobile phone retailer.

  1. What happened to the Nokia Asha 501 @ N14,500? Is it not a windows phone or is it not smart?

  2. MM, I remember you offered it at a high price too earlier.

That being said, I think low sales forced them to reduce the price. Simple demand and supply at work.

  3. That’s a good price Iwill say, but I would rather add extra 2k and pick Nokia lumia 520 for 22k

  4. flash or no flash, I’ll take d Lumia 520 over this baby, would here maps and other Nokia exclusive apps come with this baby? except I’m mistaken about exclusivity, besides the 520 looks neat enough, best budget smart phone in the market, even android counterparts at the same price range no near am.
