Here’s another way to try Firefox OS on your Android smartphone

Posted by

Months ago, we brought you a tutorial on how to try out Firefox OS on your Android using a 3rd party app, B2Gdroid. We also brought you a mini-review of B2Gdroid installed on the Nexus 6.

Firefox OS

Well, Mozilla has stepped in and developed an official app, Firefox OS 2.5 Developer Preview, that does exactly what B2Gdroid does – it is basically a launcher that changes your device’s home screen, App drawer, Notifications screen, Settings menu and multitasking screen to look, feel and act just like Firefox OS.

Interested? Simply download and install the Firefox Developer Preview app, and set it as your default launcher. Easy. You can uninstall it at any time, so go have fun with it, people!
