Here’s how to transfer contacts/data from BlackBerry 6/7 to a BlackBerry 10

So you just upgraded to a Blackberry 10 phone, and need to move your contacts and data to the new device. First off you’ll need a PC with Blackberry Link installed. Click HERE to download it.

  • Open BlackBerry Link after installation and plug in your BlackBerry 6/7 device via USB

  • Ignore the warning message “Device Not Supported by BlackBerry Link”. Click the Transfer Device Data button to continue. BB Link (5)

  • The transfer will begin. Once its done, disconnect the current device and connect the new BlackBerry 10 device.

  1. pretty sure you can do this without a PC. if you set up e mail sync your contacts will be in your email and logging in with your BB id should move all contacts and contact info to your new device

  2. The contact sync works only with Gmail accounts. Some people don’t have Gmail accounts, guess this is an option for them
