Here’s why you should not sleep beside your mobile phone

Controversy have surrounded the issue of phone radiation, and it’s effects. Many have claimed it has no side effects on humans – read on, you might have a change of thought. To demonstrate the effects of phone radiation in humans, five girls in 9th grade from a school in Denmark carried out an interesting experiment. The results of that experiment created lots of buzz among scientists worldwide.

Similar seeds were planted in two spaces, at the same temperature level, both facing the sunlight and sprinkled equal amounts of water. In one area, they positioned two wireless routers that emitted same kind of radiation as a mobile phone. On the other space the seeds were left to grow.

After 12 days of monitoring, it was discovered that the germinated seeds alongside the router had not grown. Many were mutated or dead. On the other hand, the plants from the seeds that were in a space without radiation grew and came out healthy. What does this tell us?

We must take note that our gadgets emit one form of radiation or the other, hence we should not sleep beside them. Even if you have to, try and switch it off. You never know the cause of those early morning headaches.

    Probably not much.

There are things that would kill a rat, but have no effect on a human. Ditto, these seeds.

The SPECIFIC ABSORPTION RATE (SAR) ratings on phones should give some measure of peace of mind, but who knows?

But then, yes, we should avoid all possible radiations, where feasible, like needlessly putting your phone under your pillow..

    Well done Eyebeekay

This so called experiment is flawed on many scientific grounds. Any serious researcher would know that.

  3. Not all radiation is bad.

But I support switching off ones phone or keeping it as far as possible when on bed

  4. Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece of information, it is quite educative.
