This is one 3.2 megapixel camera that fails to impress. Everything looks washed out and bland.
A 2 Mega Pixcel camera with flash by nokia would give better quailty pictures.
if the mega-pixel specification of a phonecamera can not be used to unequivocally determine the quality of images taken, then. what can?
i have both the Nokia 5800 & 5230. the 5230, despite being flashless, lacking autofocus, and with less megapixel than the 5800 – seems to take sharper pictures.
can there be some level of deceit in the classification of the cameras? – a megapixel measures picture density (elements) per area.
or maybe i am missing something..
With everything the tp2 has going for it, whoever desgined the phone screwed up the camera big time, no flash also, I say the design team of the htc tp2 need to get fired and they need to refund the salary paid to them back to htc. That is the only concern I have with the tp2.
EyeBeeKay,
Megapixel count basically addresses image resolution, not other issues like colour balance, exposure and sharpness.
Usually, manufacturers use the megapixel count as a marketing hype – and the mostly ignorant consumers swallow it, hook, line and sinker.
I agree with yomi 10000%. Its a marketing strategy that works so why change it. A few years back My 2mp SE gives 10times better picture quality overall I.e sharpness, looks than my P1i which is suppose to have 3.2mp or 3mp can’t remember. Anyway I already knew about this megapixel a few years back while shopping for camera to buy. I guess that’s why 5mp slr cameras tends to be better than a normal 10mp camera.

The camera is just not it at all.
