Huawei has been in the spotlight for weeks with leaks of their three upcoming devices, Huawei Mate 20, Huawei Mate 20 Pro and the Huawei Freebuds 2 Pro.
Of these three devices scheduled for official release in October, one particular one has gotten my attention and that’s the Huawei Freebuds 2 Pro.
All manner of brands keep rolling out clones of Apple AirPods and we are enjoying every bit of it. Leaks of this Freebud have been released and from what we can see, it is an exact replica of Apple AirPods. When you get this for yourself, you really can claim to own Apple Airpods and get away with it.
Here Is What Sets The Huawei Freebuds 2 Pro Apart
So, we have yet again another AirPods rip-off. Every time a new rip-off is released, we find ourselves asking. What makes it different from the real thing? In this case, there is something that sets Huawei’s toy apart.
The Freebud case charges wirelessly, and in 2 different ways:
- The case can be charged with a wireless charging pad,
- It can be charged by placing it on the back of upcoming smartphones from Huawei.
As we know, Huawei is not the first brand to release an AirPods clone. Zinat Bluetooth earbuds and others have walked down that road and they only got our attention for a very brief period of time. I can say that this will not be the same for Huawei because when this is finally out, curious minds will want to see it in action. You really don’t get to see the rear side of your smartphone charging another device.
Imagine: Huawei has succeeded in one-upping Apple at their own game.
We do not have full details yet about the specifications of the Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro, but if they can act as a wireless charging pad, they are no ordinary phones. They will come at a price too.
Wireless charging is the future for most devices and Huawei just secured a spot for their Freebuds.
