Huawei has joined the fitness tracker bandwagon. The company has launched a new budget-tier fitness tracker, called the Huawei Band 2 Pro. This device is designed for fitness enthusiasts who want something they can wear and put to good use all day.

Huawei Band 2 Pro Features

The Band 2 Pro has all the normal features of a fitness tracker, including a GPS sensor, continuous heart monitoring and even sleep tracking. This is complemented by a display for direct use.

The Huawei Band 2 Pro looks similar to Microsoft’s past fitness trackers. This device has a 5ATM water resistance, which makes it able to handle water exposure to a certain level. There’s also a GPS, which ensures that you can track the device even when your smartphone’s GPS is not available.

Furthermore, there’s a running coach, which aims to help people training for marathons. This offers personalized training programs for running a half marathon and similar events.

Also, the tracker monitors the user’s heart rate continuously, using it to perform personalized suggestions once enough data has been collected. However, the watch is not solely for when you’re running. Huawei states that the device can receive smart notifications. These smart notifications include alerts to new emails, incoming calls, and it also warns you if you have been sitting for too long.

Another feature included in the Huawei Band 2 Pro is the relaxation training. It offers directions for breathing toward reduction of stress. Also, the fitness tracker offers the company’s TrueSleep, which is meant for tracking sleep states like REM, light sleep and nighttime disruptions.

Finally, the company states that the Huawei Band 2 Pro comes with a 105mAh battery. This is capable of powering the device for up to 7 days of continuous use. Also, the device is said to be able to last for 2 days when in standby mode. Surely this news, along with the beautiful colors, will persuade customers to part with $69.99 for the fitness tracker.

  1. I’m loving this already, I know everything comes from Huawei are always unique, premium and quality. The 105mAh is not bad for such a device, 7 days of use when its fully charged. Nice one.

  2. It’s one of the most expensive I’ve seen. It’s too expensive for a fitness tracker. Kilode?
