South Korean multinational auto maker, Hyundai, has released Genesis Intelligent Assistant, a mobile app for automobiles provides notifications and recommendations to the user, helping them to save on time and drive more efficiently.
Genesis automatically estimates appropriate departure times and sends reminders for any upcoming appointments on the user’s smartphone. It allows users to remote start their vehicle to warm it up or cool it down. Also, it provides recommendations for gas stations along the set route. :Lastly, vehicle health status will also be communicated through the user’s smartphone when an action is required. This will allow the customer to schedule car care for their Genesis directly from the app.
The Genesis app is part of Hyundai’s Blue Link system which also includes a destination search powered by Google and a Google Glass app.
The Google Glass Blue Link app includes the following functions at launch:
- Remote vehicle start
- Remote door lock/unlock
- Remote Find My Car (search for your vehicle location to receive directions to it)
- Point of Interest search sent to the Hyundai navigation system
- Search for a gas station to send to your car
- Call roadside assistance
- Talk to a Blue Link agent
- Locate nearby dealers
These Blue Link enhancements launch on the new 2015 Genesis sedan.
