Your beautiful iPhone has suddenly stopped responding to touch. You swipe, tap and stare, but nothing responds. The Home button does not work either. You have an unresponsive iPhone in your hands. Frozen. Do not panic though. These things happen. Even better, there are simple steps to get your iPhone working fine again.
Unresponsive iPhone Plan A
The good news is that you can force your iPhone to restart. Just press and hold the Sleep/Wake button at the top until a red slider appears on the screen. Slide it to power off the device.
Unresponsive iPhone Plan B
If Plan A above does not work, you should try this next. To reset your iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button at the top and the Home button at the same time. Hold the buttons down until the Apple logo appears, then let go. Your phone will restart and should function properly again.
Will This Affect My Files?
No; carrying out the above procedure will not wipe anything on your iPhone. All your photos, images, documents, music and videos will stay intact.
Don’t forget the key combination: press and hold down the Sleep/Wake button + Home button down together till the Apple logo appears, then let go. Your frozen iPhone has thawed.
Now you can lustily sing, ♫ “The cold never bothered me anyway!” ♫
