Since their inception about a year ago, the OnePlus brand is one that has fostered a unique approach to how smartphones are made, sold and distributed. Most of all, OnePlus tries to manufacture high-end quality phones at a low price. Finding a price mid point between the low-cost manufacturers like Xiaomi and high-end makers like Samsung.
In an interview with World Street Journal, co-founder of OnePlus, Carl Pei disclosed that “almost a million” OnePlus Ones were sold in its first six months of availability. Impressive!! he also added that more than 1.5 million units of the same device has been sold across 35 countries. This is good news coming form a company just a year old.
The company is gearing up for the release of the OnePlus 2, and we already know most of the specs this new guy is coming with. With a projected sales of 3-5 million units this year. Lets see if the OnePlus 2 will meet its expectations.
