India’s largest mobile phone manufacturer, Micromax, gearing up to take on Xiaomi, has launched a subsidiary called Yu. The Yu brand was launched in 2014 as an online-only brand and runs Cyanogen’s fork of Android OS.
Micromax’s target is to be one of the top five phone makers globally.
