    1. Zero1 has 1.4GHz Octa Core and 1GB RAM, with Gorilla Glass 3 on front and back.
Zero2 has 2GHz Octa Core and 2GB RAN, with Gorilla Glass 3 on the back and kevlar back cover (kevlar is material stronger than steel, used to carry ships and to make bulletproof vests)
      They differ a LOT.

  1. Zero 2..Kevlar? Lol. Do Nigerians really need a bulletproof phone?

It would make for a great TV commercial, though…

“the new Infinix Zero 2 is a shot-stopper… literally”

Or maybe a nice advert where a man is shot point-blank and left for dead…and then he stands up and brings out a Zero 2 from his pocket and smiles…

I hope this Kevlar gimmick won’t increase the price.

    1. just want to know if the ROM is partitioned like the X506 or free like the X507 and if the boot loader is locked. we’re already in May hopefully we’ll get these info soon

  2. it is upgradeable to lollipop, x506 is also upgradeable but you wouldn’t want to do that, from frying pan to fire, if you get the idea.

  3. I learned that the phone has been launched in lagos & is in jumian store right now the price is #35,000 plus 1gb data from Etisalat. Please confirm my information & give me feedback. Thanks.

  4. It’s important to note, infinix and other Chinese smartphone phone vendors..at least most of them are not actually using Android. They are using aliyun os which in plain terms is an android rip off . In most cases it’s compatible with android apps and services. But this is not the case all the time. Most important android is strongly against it which it calls a rip off.

    1. Thanks Roy I really needed that info… maybe they should consider ditching the “rip off” aside that the zero2 is a very sweet phone talking from first hand experience…. the team incharge at infinix really step up their game… n ill give them the best Chinese oem we have in nigeria..

  5. please can any one tells me whether “Infinix Zero 2X509” is Android phone or not?
& The difference between Removable & Non removable Battery, both the infect

    1. Hello ndbest, this is an Android phone running Android KitKat with option to upgrade to Lollipop. The battery is non-removable as with the case with many new phones now.

  6. This smartphone literally holding itself back by limiting the connectivities of services it’s offers to only GSM and 3G. Supposed there is 4G, and the GPU at least Mali T-760 or even better PowerVR SGX544, even without the so much touted but still limited usefulness of NFC..
Surely it is safe to assume this one as a flagship killer.

    1. Dual simcard both 4g LTE, octacore mtk 6753 mali T720 64bit procs, 3gb ram, lolipop 5.1. I think its only available in my country, indonesia.

  7. I need help right now my new INFINIX ZERO 2X509 is now resulting some issues while i’m trying to upgrade it and it JUST HANG UP,up till now
despite i used the UPGRADE menu key button

  8. Hello there, please i mneed answers to these questions asap. I’ve surfed around other sites trying its customer’s take on its performance and i kept seeing something like; phone goes to sleep mode and never wakes up again even after a long time of trying to switch it on. And does it get on the positive side when it gets rooted?

    1. Exactly! Got mine a day after the launch in Nig and every since has had a nightmare with it. It goes to sleep mode or in plain terms OFF and would only come up at will. Even at times it connects when you try dialing it in such situation making one miserable and lose important calls.

I missed a VERY important call on one case and it slipped outta my hand outta frustration and since then I packed it and forgot about it in my closet. CRAP!

Been to the Tecno carlcare in Abuja severally but they ain’t helping.

  9. After every thing my Infinix zero 2 is now working.

Despite that the repairer manage & opened the phone & removed the battery before he flashed the phone. Remember, he also download the software. My question is this, what is the access of having “Upgrade icon on this phone rather help but disappointed”.

Secondly ; since I have been using this phone before this problem ” The Speaker has side effect by HEATING when making & receiving calls. Also, the speaker has not load enough, if u didn’t make use of load sneaker.

Moreover, the battery capacity of 2300 mah being specified is like of my bbz10 of 1400 mah used no differences.

  10. Hi all,
Pleased to read all these from Cotonou in Benin. Planning indeed to buy my Zero 2 soon but what I just read from Ndbest is really scaring me.
First: The louder of speakers and micro is a key point as far as communication is concerned. How is it with the Zero 2 finally?
Secondly: That battery matter, why did they downgrade the 4800 or whatever of the Hote Note to 2300? How long does the battery hold before die actually?
Thanks to answer me as I’m hesitating between the Zero 2 and the S5 Duos of Samsung. But I really want to encourage Nigerian and African manufacture so…
Overall I’m really satisfied by Infinix phones, I’ve used the Hot Note before once released and really enjoyed.
Now I’m really happy to see the team steps up in quality with the Zero series even if there still are some sins they’ve made 🙂
Looking forward to read from you.

  11. Pls help!
My Infinix Zero 2 has camera issues.
Pictures in my gallery keep disappearing everytime and Neva returns.
Also my contacts keep misplacing names with other contact numbers.
    Pls help!

    1. For the contants, I’ll advise you to copy them to your Gmail account and sync again. Check whether the pictures are save in the phone memory or memory card. I’ll advise you to restore to factory settings

  12. my infinix zero 2 just goes off at will. why is this so . camera can also just take pictures at will. the screen so sensitive that my ear puts a call on hold while am talking. can this issues be resolved.

  13. This phone is giving me problems . got it in September . worked fine . two weeks later I realised that when I went to my gallery , I could not see a portion of my photos the more I swiped . then when I tap a certain picture , the picture to the right of the selected picture rather pops up

Sending videos is even more annoying . taming the video is fine , but when I send it the video is either covered by a green layer or the colours in the video do not correspond to the object . The colours are every where . MAJOR TURN OFF.
