Intel has partnered with Unity- A high performance graphics development platform to support Intel-based devices running Android OS. This new strategic partnership shows Intel’s interest to make it’s mark on the tablet market.

What this new partnership means is that there will be better and faster native Android apps on Intel-based Android devices both in terms of graphics and speed. It also means app developers using Unity platform will easily be able to design  Android native apps with high graphics for Intel processors.

Intel have been number one for producing high performance chips for PCs and have done so well but haven’t been able to break into the mobile industry. Could this collaboration with Unity be their break through? as the company has set a goal to sell 40 million Intel-based processor chips for tablets this year.
