If the price tag on the just unveiled Samsung Galaxy A02 is applied across board, then we already have one of the most outstanding Android phones of the year 2021.
The package includes a 6.5″ display, 4G LTE, a MediaTek chipset, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, a 13MP dual camera at the back, a 5000mAh battery and something that is totally new – 7.75W charging.
All for the comfortable price of THB 2,999 in Thailand where the phone has been launched. When converted, that comes to roughly $100.
It is an intriguing device. As mentioned earlier, 7.75W charging is a new one. We can’t even call that fast charging. How about enhanced charging? You give it a name.
But 7.75W charging is better than the standard snail-speed 5W charging that entry-level phones bear. Not by much, but better is better. We can expect other manufacturers to latch on to this.
For photography, the front camera has a 5-megapixel lens, while the back snapper has two lenses, a 13-megapixel main, wide angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. There’s an LED flash accompanying for night photos.
The Galaxy A02 is available in Blue and Black and goes in sale first in Thailand. This attractive package has to be made available in as many countries as possible. We are not prophets, but it will be a bestseller.
