Are you a tech enthusiast interested in policy issues, a tech lawyer or a player in the tech field? Do you provide a tech service e.g. internet service provision, cyber cafe, or web hosting? Here is an opportunity to contribute to discussions that help shape policies in your industry. The Internet Intermediary Workshop by Paradigm Initiative Nigeria (PIN) and Association for Progressive Communications (APC) will be focussing on protection for service providers e.g. ISPs, payment systems providers, cyber cafes, etc. The question is: Should you be held responsible if someone uses your network (or service) to commit a crime?
Adequate protection for service providers need to be put in place and this workshop will be geared at producing guides for Internet Intermediary Liability. If you provide any online service, you should have a say at this event. Mister Mobility will be participating as well, and he looks forward to seeing other players in the industry there.
Registration is free and is open already. Registration will close at 6pm on Thursday, to allow for final selection and better logistics planning for the event, so do register right away.
