iTel is fast developing a reputation for causing upsets in regions it operates. After clinching the top mobile brand in Africa spot, the budget phone manufacturer is making waves in Bangladesh, where it has become the fastest growing smartphone brand.
The brand went from 1% market share in 2017 to 10% in 2018. That is a whopping +564% growth, year on year. And that growth meant that it overtook both Samsung Mobile and Huawei in that country to become the number 3 smartphone brand.

The most popular iTel smartphone in Bangladesh from Q1 2017 to Q1 2018 was the iTel S11. It was launched in 2016. It is a model that has proven extremely popular with our readers here on MobilityArena too.
What Brands Are Ahead Of iTel Mobile Bangladesh?
Symphony is the top mobile brand in the country, with 21% shipment market share. It is followed by Walton with 15% market share. Symphony actually lost some marketshare while Walton grew its shipments by 74%.
If iTel Mobile Bangladesh continues with its current aggressive form, it could pip both Symphony and Walton to take the number one spot in another year.

In Africa, iTel beat Samsung too to gain the current top spot in mobile. However, Samsung remains the top smartphone brand in Africa.
