Google and Reliance Jio in India have collaborated to produce and announce the most affordable smartphone in the country, and perhaps on the world, the JioPhone Next.
The 4G-enabled JioPhone Next is targeted at upgrading the 300 million mobile users in India who are still on 2G and 3G networks. A super cheap 4G smartphone is exactly what is needed to accomplish that.
The official launch statement says that it will be powered by an extremely optimized version of Android, and will have an HDR camera. Listed below are the official specs of the phone.

The price is also something that everyone was itching to hear. There are already $150 smartphones in the market. We have even seen a few, rare $100 Android smartphones. The JioPhone Next has a retail price of INR 6,499 ($87) without an instalment plan. However, it is on sale in India via instalment from JioMart online and retail partners.
It will also eventually be available in other countries as well.
