Lenovo K5 Pro and Lenovo K5s are two new smartphones with dual cameras on both the front and the back. Can we call them the dual dual camera twins? Both devices are LTE and VoLTE capable and have been launched in China. Global availability is yet to be announced.
They are both hybrid dual SIM devices. Let’s walk you through what each of them offers.
Lenovo K5 Pro
The Lenovo K5 Pro has a 5.99-inch display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. On the front of the phone is a dual camera with 16 megapixels + 5 megapixels combination with LED flash. When you flip to th back side of the phone, you will find another 16 megapixels + 5 megapixels lens combination there too. You will also find a fingerprint sensor there.
On the inside is a Snapdragon 636 processor and plenty of RAM: there are two variants, one with 4GB RAM, and the other with 6GB RAM. Internal storage is a whopping 64GB and 128GB respectively.
The software on the K5 pro is Android 8.1 Oreo but it has been customised with ZUI 5.0, a custom user interface by Lenovo. Which is odd, considering that just last year, the company announced that it was ditching its Vibe UI for stock Android on its smartphones.
The Lenovo K5 Pro includes side stereo speakers, has a 3.5mm audio jack, and USB-C connectivity. Battery capacity is 4,050mAh coupled with 18W fast battery charging. Not bad at all.
Lenovo K5 Pro Price
- 4GB / 64GB variant: 998 Yuan (about Rs. 10,600)
- 6GB / 64 GB variant: 1098 Yuan (about Rs. 11, 640)
- 6GB / 128GB variant: 1298 Yuan (about Rs. 13,760)
The K5 Pro is available in China from October 25.
The Lenovo K5 Pro has a 5.7-inch 2.5D display. On the front of the phone is a dual camera with 13 megapixels + 5 megapixels combination with LED flash, which is the same combination for the main camera. It has a fingerprint scanner too.
On the inside is a MediaTek Helio P22 processor and only 4GB of RAM this time. Internal storage is also smaller at 32GB.
On the software side, we have Android 8.1 Oreo inside, again with ZUI 5.0 on top. Battery capacity is 3,000mAh coupled with Quick Charge 1.0. That is slow quick charging, by today’s standards, but it is better than regular charging.
Lenovo K5s Price
The Lenovo K5s is available in China for 798 Yuan from October 23.
