Before now, the highest you could get from a typical webcam is 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second. Even for camera’s released two to three years ago. On the other hand, camera lenses from other devices have shown marked improvements. Computer accessory maker, Logitech has broken this jinx with their all new Logitech Brio 4K Pro webcam.
Logitech Brio 4K Pro features
This device records videos in 4k. Yes, you read that right. It also comes with HDR and Logitech’s proprietary RightLight feature, to improve low-light captures. Very ideal for people recording in poorly lit rooms. The webcam also features infrared sensing. Logitech infused an infrared-based facial recognition system, hence, it supports Windows Hello. Recall, Windows Hello is a security feature that allows users unlock a PC with their face – without entering any passwords.
The Brio carries a glass and metal body, just like every other webcam. It comes with a USB Type-C cable at the camera end. It also supports 5x zoom at 1080p and 60fps, plus you can alter the field of view to three different angles. We can expect other manufacturers to copy features off this one. Logitech’s Brio 4K Pro Webcam is now available for $199 on the Logitech online store and on Amazon.
