Manchester United in a recent statement has banned the use of laptops and tablets (iPads and iPad mini inclusive) from their stadium this season due to security reasons.

The new security policy also falls in line with the latest security intelligence in UK airports, stating that the new security precautions taken are in the best interest of the fans. Any electronic device larger than 150mm x100mm will be prohibited, which means fans are still allowed to bring their cameras and phones to the stadium.

This seems to be a welcome development as the use of iPads and tablets alike this days are being used regularly to take pictures and record videos while a match is going on thereby obstructing the views of other.
