Microsoft delays Windows 10 for mobiles till early 2016

Posted by Etoniru Chibueze

Several times this year, Microsoft has assured us that Windows 10 for mobiles will be released this December. More than half the month is gone, and we’ve seen nothing yet. In an official statement, a Microsoft spokesperson officially confirmed the update won’t be reaching users until early 2016.

“This November we introduced Windows 10 to phones including brand new features such as Continuum and Universal Windows Apps with the introduction of the Lumia 950 and 950 XL. The Windows 10 Mobile upgrade will begin rolling out early next year to select existing Windows 8 and 8.1 phones.”

Can we hold them to their word? Microsoft is already synonymous with delayed updates such as this. We hope they don’t fail this time. As it stands, the only hope of using Windows 10 right now is by getting the Lumia 950/950XL. Better still, you can join the Windows Insider Program HERE and install it on your device.
