Microsoft prepares to lay off more workers soonest

There was a time we reported that Microsoft is running losses with their mobile phone division, and that they might write off the acquisition. This included cutting of many jobs and redefining the the strategy of the company. Just recently Microsoft made a huge change in their leadership structure, laying off quite a number of high-ranked individuals including Stephen Elop.

In a cost cutting move, it appears more changes are prepared to happen, as Microsoft plans to trim down some of her workers which will culminate to 14% of her work staff. In a report from New York Times, the workers will mostly be from the hardware division, including the smartphone business that Microsoft acquired from Nokia.

Microsoft CEO,  Satya Nadella is making tough choices which may hopefully set the company on the right path.
