Microsoft sets benchmark for future Windows 10 mobiles

Posted by

Recall sometime ago, we reported that Microsoft wants to outsource the making of low-end Windows 10 mobiles to makers in China or Taiwan. It seems that might actually happen. Some days ago, Microsoft released a chart recommending specifications for 3rd party makers of Windows 10 mobiles (see below), and the chart truly looks interesting.
From the above chart, Microsoft prefers 3.5- 5 inch screen for low end phones, 4.5-5.5 inch for premium, and 5.5-7 inch for phablets. The premium phone will have support for Continuum and Windows Hello- a face unlock security feature. Its also interesting to see that Microsoft wants all the category of phones to have 4G LTE.
