Mister Mobility

A leading source for breaking technology news, opinion and analysis, TechLoy has published a list of the most influential technology people of 2011.

On the list is founder and publisher of Mobility blog, Yomi Adegboye. Here is what TechLoy says about him:

Popularly known as ‘Mister Mobility’ by his fans, Yomi has been an authority in the mobile technology reviews space for some time now. In January 2011, he called out several mobile manufacturers such as RIM on their snobbish attitude towards Nigeria, especially with regards access to purchasing apps from their app stores. About 48 hours later, RIM opened up the Blackberry App World to Nigeria to purchase apps.

Other individuals in the mobile industry who made the list are: Emeka Okoye, Mayowa Owolabi, Emmanuel Oluwatosin and James Fowe. We are sure that you will want to read up about the other gentlemen and ladies on the prestigious list.

  1. Hum, Its a job well done. It was not a magic or luck, You worth more than that. You are one in a Trillion Gem. More Power, Grace and Blessing to your Elbow

  2. Congratulations Mr. Mobility. This is what you get when your job is also your hobby. This is just the beginning.

  3. CONGRAT mr Mobility. At least I now have something to smile cnc 3days ago after mr GEJ gave us that bitter “New year gift”

  4. The place i first discovered this awesome site was, guess it! UC BROWSER. I was just browsing through the start page links, under the ‘technology’ column when i saw ‘mobility’. I just took a cursory look and i didn’t show much interest. Later, i googled something like: ‘which is the best mobile OS, and interestingly, an article in http://mobility.com.ng was among the first few results i saw. Since that day, i’ve been hooked

Later, i googled something like: ‘which is the best mobile OS, and interestingly, an article in http://mobility.com.ng was among the first few results i saw. Since that day, i’ve been hooked! I’ve gone through almost all the articles in the blog archive, if not all. Most of my knowledge of mobile phones and their OSes came from this blog.

When i own a blackberry one day, i’ll have a lot to ask from Mr. Adegboye. Even if he doesn’t make this ‘Influential List’, as far as i’m concerned, the most influential tech guy goes to Mister Mobility. I also appreciate the more prominent members of this blog(eye.bee.kay, deoladoctor, fortespy, Harry Echemo, jujukemist, Bosun99uk, Spacyzuma etc) for their sharp positively critical, analytical, and argumentative comments and the external links they provide to buttress their points. You don’t know it but, someone, somewhere is a big fan!

It is now very unfortunate that this great site has been removed from the list of start page links on the browser. If someone can do something about it please do it, we don’t know how many more fans we’re missing with the absence of it from the UC Browser list…

(I’d have written this as an article but i don’t think i meet the requirements of putting articles on this blog, and i don’t even know how to go about it)
