Mobile Web West Africa 2013, the third West African edition of the most progressive and interactive mobile focused events in Sub-Saharan Africa, returns to the Four Points by Sheraton, Victoria Island, Lagos in May. The main conference will take place on May 8th and 9th, the Mobile Marketing West Africa Focus Day will be held on May 7th and an invite-only App Developer Day will run on May 10th.

The event will feature the very best local and international speakers from organisations including Google, Airtel, Thomson Reuters, Mxit, iROKO Partners, Etisalat, Jumia Nigeria, Twinpine, 2go, M-Net Africa, Konga, BlackBerry, Eskimi and Guinness Nigeria. Event Director Matthew Dawes commented: “Without a doubt, everything is in place for this to be the best Mobile Web West Africa yet. We have assembled a superb speaker faculty and registered attendees include industry-leading mobile networks, handset manufacturers, brands, content providers, software solutions and mobile developers. MWWA2013 is going to be one for the history books.”

Over 90% reserved? I really cant say I know the reasons for that but for an event as big as MWWA, they should have more capacity to accommodate more people if indeed its truly “West African”. Else it might as well be renamed Mobile Web Nigeria.

    Hi Nelson,

Capacity is limited due to the roundtable format that we use for the event. This format greatly enhances the interaction and networking opportunities for attendees but also means that we can only squeeze a certain number of people into the room. More info: http://mobilewestafrica.com/2013/roundtable-format/

In terms of non-Nigerian attendees, we have many speakers, sponsors and delegates from Ghana attending; the delegation also includes representatives from South Africa, Kenya, India, Germany, the UK, the USA and beyond.
