Later, the company even patented the slogan – by this time, it has become a running joke among smartphone users. Now, more than a decade later, smartphone apps have become the center of our digital lives – especially now that the ongoing pandemic has shut down half the world around us.

Not all apps are created equal, though. Games are, in general, considered the most-downloaded smartphone apps around the world – but they are not topping the download charts in Nigeria. Their numbers pale in comparison with some of the most-used smartphone services out there.
