Motorola Mobility has announced a new QWERTY candybar smartphone running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and a 1GHz processor.

The Pro+ sports a 3.1-inch VGA display of 640 x 480 pixels, and scratch resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass. There is 4G internal storage, with external microSD slot with capacity for up to 32GB cards.

Onboard RAM is 512 MB, and battery capacity is 1600mAh.


The Motorola Pro+ is ready for business though. The official press release states:

  1. Motorola makes good QWERTY Android phones, but I wish they wouldn’t always lock their bootloaders. That’s the main reason why I’ve never considered Motorola droids.
