Nokia X series owners get new update

Nokia has announced that, Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL owners will be getting some sort of software update which includes new features and enhancements from the original v2.0. So now you can check what app is running with the new App Switcher which was originally available on the X2.

You can simply select this feature by swiping down top of the screen and click the app switcher icon. Then click on any app you want to switch to or just hit the X symbol to close an app.

More services from Microsoft have been integrated into the new update like OneNote, OneDrive and Outlook. With Outlook you can open multiple accounts and receive push notifications and contact/calender syncing. And you can get instant access to your OneNote Notebooks stored on our OneDrive account using OneNote mobile.

You also get the new improved Nokia Store which integrates other Third party app stores so you can explore all app in one place. They also included a new spotlight widget for app discovery.

The new Nokia X series update will come as an OTA (over the air) update, so you wait for the prompt to download it or you manually check for the update by going to settings > About phone > System update > Check now.
