OMG! This smartphone has a 10,000mAh battery!

We were just talking about how battery life is the new revolution in smartphones. The Gionee Marathon M5 held the record of 6,000 mAh till now, but we are already seeing a prototype packing a whopping 10,000mAh battery. That is the same capacity as the OnePlus powerbank which we are currently reviewing.

This new heavy-hitter is from a relatively unknown Chinese manufacturer named Oukitel. Little else is know about the device except that it will run Android 5.1 Lollipop (Update: the model name is K10000). Here is a leaked photo from the manufacturer:

OUKITEL K10000 10,000mAh battery!

It doesn’t look as bad (read: gargantuan) as you probably thought it would; does it? We are looking at perhaps a five days of use on a full charge? What do you think? Would you like to own something like this?

  1. Like many Chinese made PowerBanks boating mAh ratings that are simply untrue, I hope all these Smartphones claiming hipopotamic ratings actually pack that much juice?
