The official date for the launch of the much-talked-about OnePlus 8 series has been revealed to be the 14th of April 2020, with the company set to launch these smartphones at an online-only event which would stream through the OnePlus’ YouTube channel and official website. The launch is slated for 11AM EST.
With the success of the last year’s OnePlus 7 series, the OnePlus 8 phones are also expected to achieve a similar measure of success in the market when it finally hits the market. The company has confirmed that both phones will support 5G technology, with the OnePlus 8 Pro expected to feature a 120Hz display.
A number of leaks regarding this series hit the internet last week, some of which were mentioned in a previous article. There are also unconfirmed speculations that we may be seeing a OnePlus 8 Lite when the series launches in a fortnight but there is still no confirmation regarding that from the Chinese tech company.
There is no official word regarding the price range of these smartphones, but with the OnePlus 7 starting from £549, the OnePlus 8 devices are expected to cost around this range, with the OnePlus 8 Pro expected to be more expensive. The smartphones will come in three colour variants, with a number of more colour options expected later on.
