I am submitting this comment via Opera Mobile 10.1 beta on my Mini Pro. Looks and feels just like Opera Mini.

This may just end up as my default browser.

‘Ability to be set as the default browser’

Really? Wao! Can not wait for this to happen on Symbian^3!

this singular feature is the most compelling reason for me – so far – to try an Android device on. for size.

This multi-(all?)-platform ubiquity of Opera is a challenge to UcWeb to get their acts together, and take the fight to Opera. UcWeb is technically good enough to upstage Opera as King of Mobile Browsers!

Data security apart (secure sites – https), I would love to know if there is another (better?) alternative browser for Android that effectively addresses the data gluttony problem of the Android..?

@bosun99uk:- in software development, design is the main thing.
Once that is in.place implementing that design using any development language on any platform is often the simpler portion of the equation…

I hear this version took these guys just a month to develop for the Android os!

    EyeBeeKay,

There’s no other browser that I know of on the Android platform that addresses data consumption the way that Opera does.
